Delhiites today got much needed relief from the scorching sun with the maximum temperature dropping below normal level, a day after night temperatures broke a 41-year-old high and a dust haze made life miserable.

The maximum was recorded at 39 degree Celsius, down from yesterday’s 41.2 degrees while the minimum dropped to 28.4 degrees from a four decade record of 34.7 degrees, the MeT Department said.
